Step 2: Technology
Record and analyse data collected e.g. graphs or spreadsheets

As part of our Green Schools Project on "Litter and Waste" Pupils in 5th and 6th class carried out a waste audit on all the classrooms throughout the school. We recorded our findings in tally charts and then used our chrome books to formulate graphs based on the results we gathered.

Step 2: Technology

Take part in coding projects

As part of our Aistear we have been learning to use the BEEBOTS programme. We have used the BEEBOTS for our Homes topic whereby the pupils had to direct the BEEBOTS to the pigs homes and direct the BEEBOTS to different areas of the house. We also used them for our seasonal themes e.g Halloween and Christmas. The pupils have been learning all about left and right and the directions forwards and backwards.
Our theme for March was all about Mini-Beasts. We had our Science lab in our role play section where we investigated bugs and we used our BEEBOTS minibeast mat to locate where the different insects were placed. he information we gathered in our "Science Lab" to write our own insect fact files. In our writing station we used these stations were linked to our Plants and Animals strand in Science and spatial awareness in Numeracy.
