Meet our 1st and 2nd Class Teacher - Mr. Anderson
|
My name is David Butler Anderson, and I am the First- and Second-Class teacher here at St. Peter’s National School. I live in Dublin and recently graduated from the Church of Ireland Centre in DCU with a degree in Primary School Teaching, where I specialised in Multigrade Teaching.
I have a great love for music. I play the tin whistle and I am learning the banjo, guitar and I can’t wait to share my love of music with the children. I believe learning should be fun, creative, and hands-on. I especially enjoy doing science experiments and encouraging curiosity and exploration in the classroom. I’m passionate about helping every child grow in confidence, kindness, and enthusiasm for learning. Gaeilge songs and traditional games play a big part in my teaching, as I find they bring great joy to the classroom and help build a strong sense of culture and community. I am the newest member of the St Peter’s family. I feel very lucky to be part of St. Peter’s, a wonderful, welcoming school with a strong sense of community and a fantastic team of teachers and pupils. I’m really looking forward to an exciting year of music, laughter, and learning in such a great school! |
