Rachel Cantwell - Special Educational Teacher (SET)

​My name is Rachel Cantwell. I recently graduated from DCU Institute of Education with a degree in primary teaching. After completing my final year in college, I spent the majority of my first year as an NQT teaching 5th & 6th class in a developing school in Co. Meath. The hard work and dedication put in by staff and the school community alike in a developing school comes with a special sense of belonging and reward. This is one of the many reasons I love being a part of the St. Peter’s team. 

This academic year I am teaching 3rd & 4th class. I am excited to get to know the children and create a classroom full of teamwork, respect and fun! I enjoy teaching all subjects but I have a love for music and art. I love bringing out the creative side of the children in my class.

When I was first introduced to some of the staff, I instantly felt welcomed and supported in the school environment. I feel very privileged to be a member of the team here at St. Peters.
