Spooky Walk 2023!
On Friday in St. Peter's NS the air was filled with excitement and a touch of magic. The school grounds were transformed into a vibrant parade ground, where pupils, adorned in their spookiest and most creative costumes, proudly showcased their outfits for all the parents to admire. Pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, meticulously carved by little hands, were displayed with pride, adding to the fun atmosphere.
Following the #payback campaign spearheaded by 5th & 6th Class, Mr Corcoran was nominated to lay on the ground while a tarantula crawled on him, much to the delight and awe of the onlooking crowd. Mr Corcoran's bravery was met with cheers and applause, creating a memorable moment for everyone present. Massive thank you to Ben and Mélanie of Dino Experience for introducing the school community to Charlotte, the 15 year old tarantula.
The adventure continued with a spooky walk in the church grounds. The grounds were transformed into a haunted haven, with eerie decorations and mysterious sounds creating a chilling ambiance. The day was not only filled with fun and frights but also served as a successful fundraiser for our school. Thanks to the generous contributions from parents and the local community, a substantial amount of money was raised - Thank you !!!
To top off the fantastic day, the PTA generously prepared goody bags filled with treats and surprises for all the pupils. The celebrations continued in the classrooms, where parties were in full swing. Laughter, games, and treats filled the rooms, creating a joyful and festive atmosphere. Friday was a day where memories were made, funds were raised, and the spirit of Hallowe'en was alive and well!
