5th and 6th Class Championship Orienteering Event 2025

What a day! The students were truly challenged today with a very difficult orienteering course in Cruagh Woods, Rathfarnham. The boys and girls did so well to get so many controls and return safely to the finish as quickly as possible. It was certainly not easy but they did really well. Awaiting results so fingers crossed!

5th and 6th Class Orienteering Event 1 - 2024

5th and 6th class took part in their very first event of the year by participating in the Leinster School Orienteerimg event in Santry Demense on Tuesday the 1st of October. The students did themselves and the school proud by being so competitive in the event. We had lots of students finish in the top 20 of a packed field! This is the first event of the year so onwards and upwards from here!

5th and 6th class Orienteering Event 2 - 2024 (Cabinteely Park)

The children in 5th and 6th class had to brave a bitterly cold November day to participate in their second orienteering event of the year. Despite the cold and challenging course, the children did very well and once again achieved some very good scores. Well done to all involved!

5th and 6th Class Orienteering Event 1 2022

5th and 6th Class students took part in their first orienteering event of this school year on the 5th October 2022. We were in Ardgillan Castle. Luckily we got through the event in between rain showers. Students worked in groups with 6th class students helping 5th class and our new students in how to navigate the course and earn points. We were so impressed at the team work in each group and very proud of them.

Woodpark Stud

5th and 6th Class were kindly invited on a tour to Woodpark Stud.
We got a tour of the farm and meet different people who worked there along with lots of beautiful horses.
It was a great day out!

5th & 6th Class Orienteering Event 3

5th & 6th class attended their third orienteering event in Marlay Park in April. Despite a very tough course to navigate, the pupils worked really well together in their teams to build up as many points as they could within the time frame. As an extra special treat they got to enjoy the amazing playground in Marlay Park too!

5th & 6th Class Orienteering Event 2

5th & 6th class attended their second Leinster Primary Schools Orienteering event in Cabinteely Park on the 9th February. The children had to navigate a map of the park and reach a number of locations to earn individual points within a set timeframe. They represented St. Peter's NS very proudly and did very well. We had a lovely sunny day for the event and lots of fun was had by all.
