To support Kelsey, our school therapy dog in training, and to say thank you to the charity that made her part of our school, we are asking that you consider donating any Re-turn cans or bottles to our school. We will then recycle them and all monies raised will go to the charity My Canine Companion. Bottles and cans can be left into the big orange bins at the side of the school. Kelsey attends regular training sessions, provided by My Canine Companion, to help her become a calm, confident, and caring therapy dog for our pupils. We practice:
Staying calm and non-reactive in busy places like schools, shopping centres and cafés.
Using lifts and stairs safely (the glass stairs in Blanchardstown are still a bit scary because she can see all the way down!).
Travelling on public transport. We’ve already taken the train from M3 Parkway, and next week Kelsey will try a bus for the first time.
We LOVE Kelsey and are so grateful to have her with us. Funds raised will go directly to My Canine Companion, the charity that provides autism & therapy dogs to schools and individual families. Their work is life-changing and relies heavily on donations and community fundraisers. Every single can or bottle adds up and every donation helps My Canine Companion continue providing and training assistance dogs for people with autism so they can live life to the fullest. Thank you for your support for Kelsey, for our pupils, and for an amazing charity. Together, we can make a real difference, one can at a time!
