Why are we having a Golf Classic?
St. Peter’s National School was established in 2004. We have been in temporary accommodation ever since and have tirelessly fought for a permanent build for our school community. In the last 2 years, there has been great progress in bringing the new school build to fruition. We are delighted to say that we are now in Stage 3 of the new build – tender action. This is the final stage before we go to construction, which is very exciting for us!
It is very important for us, the Board of Management, the staff, the parents and the children, that we maintain the wonderful spirit and essence of our current school when we transition to our new school. We have a very strong identity and want to ensure that we have the resources necessary to put our own personal stamp on our new school build, so that it reflects our ethos, our inclusive spirit and our core values.
Our Golf Classic event is the first big fundraising event we have been able to engage with since COVID-19 hit in March 2020 and we have a big target to reach! The funds raised from this event will go towards and enable us to resource, personalise and safeguard our individual spirit in our transition from old to new school build, and grow in the heart of the Dunboyne community.
We aim to raise €10,000 at this event! - To do this we need your help!

How can you be involved?
Enter a team! 4-person scramble @ €240. Or if you would like to enter individually @€60 we can help you form a team. Registration includes 4-person scramble, shotgun start @1.30pm and 2 course dinner, tea and coffee in the golf club @7pm.

There are many options to choose from:
Bronze: Sponsor those competitive edges! @ €100
We are hosting a whole range of competitions as part of our Golf Classic fun. These include the longest drive, nearest to pin (on all 4 par 3s), most played ball (top 2 players) and a participation medal! We are looking for sponsorship for each of these 8 mini competitions @ €100. We know these are going to really add a competitive edge to the day! Bronze sponsor’s have the opportunity to display their company name/logo on each of these competitions/prizes.
Silver: Sponsor a tee @ €200
We are hoping to have all 18 tees sponsored at our Golf Classic event. The business name will be displayed alongside the tee it has sponsored (A4 size). Flyers are welcome also. This is a great business advertisement opportunity!
