St. Peter's National School
Alison helped us all to understand the meaning behind Lent while pupils from 4th - 6th engaged us in a call and response chant.
Rev. Alison spoke to us about Salt. Salt is used for many things including adding flavour to food and for setting dye in clothes. Alison spoke about being the 'salt of the Earth', a phrase from the book of Mathew. She told us about the importance of bringing 'flavour' into our lives, thoughts and actions. So important!
She left us with the question, 'Do you add flavour to the world'?
2nd and 3rd class treated us to a glimpse of their Greece travel brochures. The children worked hard to research various topics such as climate, cuisine and sports. Well done!
Reverend Eugene led our assembly this week and he taught us all about St. Brigid in preparation for St. Brigid's Day on the 1st of February.
