St. Peter's National School
Assembly Blog
This week we welcomed Alison back to our Assembly. This weeks Assembly continued to focus on last week's 'Stay Safe' theme 'Touches'. We remineded ourselves of all the touches we do like: shaking hands, high fives aswell as the ones we don't like: punching, kicking, hitting. We discussed that bad touches make us feel uncomfortable, intimidated, uneasy and unhappy. The message was loud and clear 'Say NO, Get Away and Tell.' It was 1st and 2nd classes turn to perform for us this week. They have been learning all about Castles in class. They taught us a few facts they have learned about the different types of castles. The children in 1st and 2nd class have also been working really well together in creating collaborative art and designing their own castles. Have a look below at the fabulous work they showed us in Assembly! This week we also found out what school 'houses' we were in. There are four school houses in St. Peter's National School: Yellow Cheetahs, Blue Whales, Red Pandas and Green Turtles. We loved finding out about our house and which house we are all assigned to. Look how excited we are! We also can't wait for the house challenges to come!
