Assembly Blog
Assembly 6/9/19Alison led us in a wonderful assembly today. We celebrated all the new faces in our school this year and talked about the many ways we can make sure everyone feels welcome. Friendship and kindness are central to life in St. Peter's NS! 4th, 5th and 6th class entertained us all with an active recital of the poem "An Seilide" which was also a new word Junior, Senior Infants & 1st Class learned this week! Assembly 5/4/19 Today we had a lovely Assembly! We had lots of things to celebrate today as the children had such a wonderful week. This week we hit a record number of 'Stars of the week'. The children received these awards for many different reasons: handing up beautifully presented homework, being kind to their friends, demonstrating great teamwork on the football pitch and being very helpful in the yard. Well done everyone! Have a look on our Stars of the week page to see our stars this week! We have been working towards our Bishops Medal Competition over the last few weeks. We have been focusing on the story of Noah's Ark. Junior and Senior Infants led our assembly this week. They sang a fantastic rap song all about Noah and the animals on his Ark. It was absolutely brilliant! All the children have been busy designing a logo for their school houses. The teachers all had a very difficult decision as they were all AMAZING! However, we finally came to a decision and found a winning logo for each house. Have a look at the winning designs below for each house: Blue Whales, Yellow Cheetahs, Red Pandas and Green Turtles. Well done everyone! The winners will now complete the final logo design which will be displayed at the end of next week!
